Twelve Christmas Narratives
Narrativve #04
This image has always fascinated me, I really like it and I'm not sure Why. It was exposed on daylight ektachrome under minimal tungsten light so was rather underexposed with a warm cast. I just recently digitized it. It seems a surreal and quiet moment with Santa. The image was created back in the Lazarus days. The family journeyed down town to stand in the cold in front of the colorful, animated Christmas windows created by Lazerus elves each year for the enjoyment of the childlike masses. The tour would then proceed up the store escalators to the fourth floor, to chat with the talking tree, and travel through a maize of seasonal scenery to the children's Christmas shop. Children went in, without parents, to buy presents. Then on to see Santa !! We made this jaunt every year until Lazarus closed its doors or my son was too old to want to participate, I do not remember which ---- maybe that's Why ?
